is a large shopping mall in the Baltimore County, Maryland, community of Owings Mills that is owned and managed by General Growth Properties. While its main entrance is off Red Run Boulevard between Painters Mill Road and Owings Mills Boulevard, the mall is also accessible from the exit ramps of I-795. (Wikipedia)
The mall's current anchor stores are Macy's and JC Penney. Previous anchors were Boscov's, Lord & Taylor,
Saks Fifth Avenue,
and Sears. IFL (International Furniture Liquidators) is temporarily located in the space vacated by Lord & Taylor. Sticks 'n Stuff, a furniture retailer, was temporarily located in the space vacated by Sears until 2004. The mall has experienced the closure of several national stores, leaving many vacancies in this once upscale mall. (Wikipedia)

It was originally known as Owings Mills Town Center, but a new nearby development in the vicinity has now been given that name. The mall is scheduled for demolition and redevelopment into a lifestyle center. Macy's, JCPenney, and AMC Theaters will remain.

Anyone heading to Lord and Taylor today |
Sacks was the first anchor to pull out in 1996 since it proved to be way upscale for the mall in 1996 which proved to be true since it was the only upscale store in a hidden area. JCPenney later replaced it.

As walking through the mall it seemed like walking after hours why all the stores are closed. I was able to catch a few and figure out what was in existence before. It seem that most stores haven't been closed long before I came since a fake wall is not placed over the store fronts.

Hallways of a dead mall is a wonder of fortune of seeing the trace of the economic shift in which leaves one another behind.

The Food Court however seemed real dated in which it still has its late 80's and early 90's retro look in which it had dated tables and chairs. Poor lightning and widely overgrown plants. Many restaurants probably wondered why GGP didn't put money to help spruce up the food court. The answer is there is no national food chains in the food court.

Chinese Food or Ice Cream (But its not Panda Express or Haigan Deis) |
The outside of the mall is very dated with no clean up at all. Grass growing in the parking lot, Buildings needing repainted and the whole area looks deserted and not very welcoming. The AMC that sits behind the mall draws attention to people but unfortunately wasn't able to get shots of it

Mall may be similar to Macon Mall in Macon Ga with the same anchor line up but different in stores and layout.
