This was the first full retail center that was built in North Macon by GGP (General Growth Properties) in 2006. The lifestyle center was situated in North Macon where it is visible off the highway 75 and only being 10 miles North of Macon Mall heading up 75. The first rumors were saying that this new mall wouldn't hurt Macon Mall at all since it had 7 anchors (Belk, Macy's, Sears, JCPenney, Parisian, Dillard's, and Steve and Barry's) While this shopping center only was going to have 2 (Dillard's and Belk) and a junior anchor Barnes and Noble. The mall opened in two phases.

Once The shopping center was finished in 2008 it became widely known with the first set of stores such as Macon's first Coach store opening and a wide of vacancies due to retailers trying to move from the then foreclosed Macon Mall to the new Shopping Center. and By the beginning of 2009 The Dillard's at This Lifestyle Center would be Macon's only one and host Macon's Second Belk and Dick Sporting Goods.
